In 2021, the American Mosquito Control Association (AMCA) published an update to their Best Practices for Integrated Mosquito Management manual that includes new information on managing Culex species and reducing arbovirus transmission.
The CDC funded the update to help AMCA create publicly available resources dedicated to addressing the growing threat posed by vector-borne disease and training the nation’s vector control workforce.
The Northeast Regional Center for Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases has established a pesticide resistance monitoring network covering the Northeastern region to support public health and mosquito control agencies in detecting pesticide resistance in mosquito populations.
This program offers two primary services to our network: specimen submissions to Cornell for testing and specimen collection kits.
Archival webinars and presentations are available for AMCA members. Webinars are announced via e-mail. Click the picture link for past webinars or to become a member of AMCA, click here.
