- Course is intended for those experienced with mosquito identification.
- Prerequisites: Identification of adult mosquitoes of Virginia; prior knowledge of mosquito morphology
Registration

- Registration opens to VMCA members January 28, 2025 at 8am (link below)
- Seating is limited - Only 1 or 2 students per organization/jurisdiction
- Registration will open to non-members (or a third student from an organization) February 26, 2025 at 8am
Equipment Needed
- Dissecting microscopes with 55-80X magnification (10X eyepiece and 5.5-8X body)
- Light source for microscope
- Forceps
- Local dichotomous key, pen and paper

From the North ( I-664S/I-264W/I-64W)
Take exit for US-58W/US-13S
Merge right to stay on US-13S, follow signs for Ahoskie NC/Edenton NC/Virginia 32
Go straight through light crossing Carolina Road
Turn left at the stop sign
From the South (SR-32N/US-13N)
Merge/stay on US-13N past Suffolk Airport
Turn right onto Tyson Court
Follow the road to the front parking lot, south of the roundabout with the flagpole. The training room is located in the administration building (see diagram below).
