VMCA Logo Contest

The VMCA board and Ad Hoc committee would like to propose a change to the VMCA logo. For the last 16 years (since the 2011 annual conference), our current logo has stood strong and encompassed our organization nicely. With our 80th anniversary next year, we were hoping to make a change and express ourselves in a new way.

We are looking to all of you, VMCA membership, to submit new logo designs. 

The artist of the chosen logo will win $100 and have their design used by our association (after signing the required release form). Logo designs can be created by VMCA members, their friends, or family members. More than one submission per person is allowed. 

Please submit your logo designs (using the link below) by November 13, 2026. 

After this deadline, we will set up a voting process to choose our new logo. For those of you that want the current logo to remain, no worries, this will be included as an option to vote on. 

We ask that all submitted logo designs be original artworks with no stock art, clip art, or AI generated portions included. The design should clearly state our organization (incorporating VMCA or Virginia Mosquito Control Association) and may or may not include the founded/established year of 1947. Vector images (.ai or .svg) are strongly preferred, but if you do submit a raster, please make sure it's a .png file and has a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Once the winning logo has been chosen, we will have the artist sign a release form (attached with this email).
